| Post subject: | Frame stained on XB12 | ||
I've spilt some petrol on the frame of my XB12. It's stained the black finish and I can't find a product that will get rid of the stain without causing more stains. I have tried a Muc-off matt detailer spray, a car wash spray (made it worse) and a black plastic detailer fliud. Anyone got a solution?

My 1125r had staining like that when I got it, mentholated spirit & Furniture polish worked on mine eventually. I used the meths once (doesn't interfere with the paint) & then continually use the furniture polish to this very day. The one I use has beeswax in it (don't know if that makes any difference). It takes a while for the staining to disappear but it's worked on ok mine. Mine has the Blue anodised kind of finish on the frame so may be different but worth a try. |
