Due a bike change soon (6 months max). Currently on a CB1300. Loving it but really fancy the v-twin experience. Hope you will share your wisdom so........... Want a 1200. Is it better than the 11? As Buell is kaput as a company does this make part sourcing/maintainance harder? Is it as thirsty for oil as it seems (all engine sizes??) Is it worth looking at high miles newere model? Or just aim low miles. Any general advice for a Buell virgin? D. |

Not necessarily, but they can be. They need more looking after than a Jap bike, parts aren't easy to get, and there's only 1 Buell mechanic in captivity in the UK. I'm in Oz and it's even worse than that here. Not saying don't get one, just be aware, that's all. |

There's a long list of buyers who can't get into these bikes after buying and soon sell. On the other side of the coin, many are 20+ year owners too. I'd certainly suggest keeping the Honda if you can, at least until you're certain a Buell is for you. They aren't for everyone. |
