We knew it was coming. Didn't know it would be that ridiculous. It's expensive enough to live in Central London. Forget about your own personal transport, because every aspect of public needs (food, clothes, etc) is delivered by tractor/trailer, 100 quid per day is going to drive up the price of everything, including fish and chips at the pub for lunch. Where do taxis fit in? Exemption? I lived out west in Bucks and enjoyed the public transport. My daily grind stopped at Marleybone. Office was 1/2 way between there and Baker St. But I still had the tube pass to go all over tarnation. Was a lot of fun actually, being single and young, especially. When I lived there, I had a flat behind the office so I only walked 2 blocks til I moved out of the city. In the early 80s, the pollution from all the leaded petrol was horrible. All the buildings were dark grey from all the soot and the air was so heavy it was hard to breathe. L-town has come a long way, but this is too much. Time to move or buy an e-bike. The Energica bikes are very, very nice. Better than the Zeros, but more expensive. Don't know if they're available in the UK. |

I think 2008+ Buells will be ok. Not an issue for me these days but I spent several years commuting on my X1. Looks like the zone will be extended further in the next couple of years. I was looking for bikes with a friend recently who lives on the edge of the proposed extended zone. It certainly limits your choices. |

2004 XB12 is non compliant as is every other vehicle I own,the most recent is 2015. Going to cost £12.50 to visit my daughter after 2020 as she lives just inside the North Circular. I sold my Uly in a fit of pique after one ride where Sussex police armed with speed guns were round every corner in a new 50 mph limit which everyone rode quite happily at the national speed limit and I thought, what’s the point? Seems they want to legislate us out of everything enjoyable, even cake. Rant over |

| London, like all big cities I don't go near them anyway with all the methane that politicians in Westminster emit there will still be enough pollution to go around, e-bikes, until they are about the price of a normal bike and can do Scotland to England in one go they can put the plug were the sun don't shine, strange innit they won't a cleaner London and how many airports have they got near by. pash wrote: £12.50 a day is worth it to ride my S1 Really have you done the mathRoughly 261 working days a year so that's 261 x 12.50 = £3,262 if your a Buell commuter (2008 model are fine) Both my bike are no longer suitable guess i have to save up again not to mention to make it worse in 2021 the zone expands to where i live in Harrow. Its only a matter of time before it covers the whole country. Anybody want to swap a 2007 XB9SX for a 2008 one please

Pretty stink alright! Uly out 1125 in. Not sure how it all works but I'd be pretty sure the Uly creates less pollution than the 1125..65mpg vs 40mpg ish. Silly bureaucrats Could always swap plates I suppose...What could go wrong
