Back in my past paddock stands used to fit Front: inside the yoke Rear: under the swing arm Both allowed the wheels to be removed No Issues with the current front stand but the rear stands seem to rely on bobbins etc, which would not allow the spindle to be removed? Is it just me being out of date? Apologies for my incompetence Andy Lightning XB12S

Cup adapters are available, to slot into the stand. I switch between cups or hook adapters dependent on the bike being worked on. |

Get the Micron. If you're not removing the wheel, you can turn the cups around and stick them into the spindle holes, or even more securely, stick a long bar all the way through. Get an adjustable one for the front as the legs are a different length. I bought an ordinary front stand and cut a bit out of the tube, then welded it back together. Be careful if you buy a front stand with pegs that fit up the fork. They may hit the spindle and damage the threads. |

My 1125CR has bobbins on the rear, but not attached to the axles.

I wouldn't recommend drilling an XB swinging arm |

Remember that guy that DID drill his XB swing arm (on the old forum)? He obviously chose the wrong spot... |

As the swingarm is a couple of castings welded together the wall thickness is pretty thin hence all the cast strengthening webs inside. I'd stay clear of drilling it too. Get that micron rear stand, I have one that I use on both the xb and S1 |
