With Maz's instructions ringing in my ears I finally got round to replacing the front engine mount today. Not sure if it relevant to the bolt snapping issue but I was surprised how different the condition of the two removed bolts were. One looked virtually new, the other had quite a bit of corrosion on it. |

Some bolts come pre rusted straight from the European distribution centre. Looks like the one on the right is one of them |

Yes copper-slip. Just under the washers and on the shank of the bolt. No of course not, the threads have thread-lock on them. Yes I did have to be very careful doing it. Because I was told to by somebody who knows more about it than me. What do you mean that doesn't narrow it down very much? |
