It may have been done before, but i think it would be nice and informative to hear about buells with good miliege on them. .CJ must be up there with 59k on the 2nd gen uly...Any takers for this interesting exercise... :D

It may also give some comfort that high miliege is achievable and can make for solid useable transport for anyone pondering on buell ownership.. :o

Im not in the HMC

Oh. I thought this was a topic about goings-on in a plane.

Put me down for 8 if the topic changes direction.

My Buells were sold off around 20k for the next new Buell. I never kept any Buells for longer than 40k (2001 X1) and that one took more warranty money that it cost new.

The next target is 70,000, but it’s having a bit of rest now while it has another big service, two new tyres, new HT leads and a new belt.

Decent mileage. How many belts has it been through and at what mileage, please? Do you change them before they break as a precaution?

Nick, from my records:

Original belt 25,752, precautionary.
Second belt 43,265, broken.
Third belt 60,117, still in good condition but being replaced while the swinging arm is out for a major service.
