Post subject:  drive bearing lube ?

Hi,
Took my drive pulley cover off today , to check for any diy lube mods as i have found thanks to ukbeg that a mod may be required. On black plastic end cap there is what looks like yellow filler in the middle and a greem cross mark..Does this means prev owner has lubed bearing at some time..2006 uly.and does it need a maz mod.
Cheers Paul.

The maz mod as you call it, is a precision machined interference fit aluminium disc that replaces the black plastic end cap . In the middle is a grease nipple to periodically lube the gearbox shaft needle roller bearings . cost of the Maz nipple mod about a tenner , cost of gearbox failure on a XB, engine out and full strip .............many hundreds if not thousands
