2006. I've read loads of mixed reviews on remapping aswell, I'm a bit confused.
I've had lots of other bikes with race pipes and I've never had to remap them!!
Any ideas ? :?

yes dyno with just a pipe and hi flow filter is fine on stock map........... others will argue this but we have all been here before and im right as done days and days on dynos seeing what does and does not work.
pipe needs to be a good one not a cherry bomb :yup:
Also the best flowing filter is a stock one but only flows high numbers for a very short time where a k&n type flows at a flat rate longer :old:
My own xb9 @6.000 miles was running my own pipe mod, k&n filter run perfect afr and from memory had 84rwhp

PM Albert666 for an xb silencer. His are well made and use the standard unc screws to mount the belly pan :yup:. Remember if it's cheap to buy it's been made cheap.

A Stealth may still be an option. The last newish one I saw had a segmented bend inlet pipe just before the main can to improve flow? (maybe he read my DIY experimental ramblings), but having looked inside a few aftermarket systems, many of them have steps or non-flush welded joints inside. Even the factory stainless headers are not as streamlined inside the confluence as outside.

Alberts pipes do look as good inside as out! ;)

My own fave is now a standard 07 XB12R muffler without the servo. My 06 XB9 runs very sweet on this, even if it lacks the instant lowdown kick you get with a more open pipe, or such a MEGA sound! 8-)
