Friend of mine has these fitted to his VFR and is mega impressed with them. My M2 on Cast wheels has a 170 rear.....Michelin only do a 180. Anyone tried fitting these to cast wheels? |

What you gain with the good tyre you'll lose with fitting a 180 tyre on a rim meant for a 170, unless it's a P.M |

If it's the latter, where did you get them from cos I can't find them listed.... Edit....Cancel that, found some ![]() |

Don't know about size, but I just fitted these on my X and very happy so far. Inspiring a lot of confidence. The front is definitely improved over the 3s, which I ran on my XT. |

Depends how hard you push the bike and what the weathers like really. I've used both on the Buell & the GSXR and I've never really noticed too much difference. Motorway miles bugger them up quickly too. |

Motorway miles bugger them up quickly too. When I push the bike, highest tyre pressures are best for decreased rolling resistance. The weight is hard enough as it is... |

You can get a 170 in Pilot 3's, I just had some fitted. Haven't tried them yet, but they feel very soft and sticky ![]() You can't get a 170 in Pilot 4's. |

I just prefer to get someone else to push it. ![]() |

I've got 180/55's on my X1 by the way. They just set the back end off much better, especially now I've got rid of all the plastic junk off of the tail. The fatter the better. Pity I couldn't get 190s on it. |

I put pilot road 3s on mine after getting 9000 miles out of pilot road 2s, I've done 5000 miles on them and they don't even look scrubbed in. great in the dry, great in the wet, i reckon i will get at least 12k out of them. |
