Hi guys and gals
Recently had my S1 sprayed, looked a peach but is now starting to bubble after only about 2 months!
Been to the guy who did it and luckily he is going to stand by it and re-do it.
It was done properly using quality 2 pack paint and plastic primer.
Has anyone got any advice that has actually worked on these tanks?
Prob an old topic but advise greatly received.

Is an aluminium tank the only option Maz? Surely not?

Where is it bubbling? Under the stickers? Or everywhere?

Under the stickers and just under the rim of the tank almost where it sits on the frame!

If you can find anyone that can paint your tank so that it never bubbles again, then you will be the 1st to do so......and trust me on this, the very best in the business have all tried and failed :)

Holtworks did say they would look into a Tank cover as well as making the alloy complete tanks

8-) That would be something I'd be very interested in as a full ally tank is beyond me right now and I'm worried about cracking in the long run.

Started as a small bubble, fuel removed and left to air for a couple of days, came back to this... :rotfl: Image

Ace of Sprays did a few of mine. The one on the black S1, done in 2008, bubbles under the stickers from time to time but I just puncture the bubbles with a pin and massage the bubbles out.

My tank has just done an 'elephant man' .....double bubble, good and proper, it was painted by one of our members who did a great job. My solusion was to buy today, a Baglux tank cover. I already have a small tank bag from them that will attach....... Ask for a discount !!!!
