I really like the Maxxis Diamonds I fitted to Uly, so I thought I would get some for the Firebolt...

Did a search on BeGay, but the prices ain't what they used to be. Best deal was these:

As cheap as anyone else, plus free T shirt and free oil (Motul like I use)... Only downside was that the oil was 10/40 and I had to pay an extra fiver to get 20/50...

I am very impressed with the Maxxis Diamonds, best part of 5k on them now and have not 'rounded off' they warm up quick and are predictable. Wet weather riding is great they don't white line too good, but what tyres do. Paid £140 fitted, but as I pointed out some time back that was never going to last.

My first set were £140ish too, but I think they perform as good as tyres you would pay over £200 for.

I have no white line problems with mine, after reading this I have purposely tried to upset the bike on white lines and it won't have it...

Are you running a 180 on a (standard tuber) 5" rim? I ask as I have not seen a 170 Maxxis Diamond...

Mine's a 180. They don't do 170. (I've always run 180's anyway.)

I was saying that they white line in the wet, and yes as Mick said 180 rear.

Mine don't on the Uly (in the snow, wet or dry). Wondering if it is cos the profile is different on the 5" rim.
