I have a 2000 x1, much modified mainly by Maz,and I love it, and will be keepin it. However, being attracted to the quirky in the bike world, I quite fancy an xb12,but they seem rare in north west and command high prices esp scg models. I have seen a couple of 12 firebolts on ebay, a 2006 and a 2007 both with modest mileage and appear in good cond, and reasonable price. The 2007 is most attractive and has some serious money spent on it. It has however been advertised on ebay three times now over the last month, and I wonder why it hasnt sold. Where are the Germans?? Does anyone have any ideas why they dont seem to appeal. Whats wrong with them. [ I know what Maz will say]

Because, as usual, the majority has a bad taste.

The germans are more into the xbs rather than the xbr. They'll all end up over there eventually (except mine). Go for the 07 model you won't regret it :D :D then take it to Maz for the 10k service. It'll make his day

Buy it, ride it, enjoy it.

If you prefer the high bars of the XBS to the Firebolt's semi prone position, its a fairly easy mod to put sit up and beg bars on a XBR. I bought mine already done.
