Hi. Dunk.... Don't matter if they are or not, wiring up heated grips is very straight forward... From the ignition power take off with an in-line fuse..... An be putting in an auxiliary socket fer yer heated waistcoat at the same time... Yer core temperature is what you need to keep up.... With only heated grips on a long winter ride yer hands will take more blood away from the core and this will have the effect of lowering yer core temperature.... Recommended....http://bikerpartsdirect.com/teperature- ... tAodBUwAWg And: http://www.klan-heated-clothing.com/ But don't expect any heated grip to be that warm.... Hand-guards are also recommended... ![]() |

I never thought I'd use heated grips, but when the 2008 XT came with them as standard, I used them because they were there, and am happy now to use them now on the 'strada. Hand guards too, I thought they were something that belonged on a feckin' scooter, but by 'eck they make a winter journey so much more comfortable. Never had heated clothing, and probably never will, I find having warm hands and good gear is plenty for me. ![]() |

So, the accessory socket came in on the non-Ulys in 2008... Attachment: Looks like you will need to go your own way... Instead of cutting the plug off like I did, you can buy a plug, terminals and seals from BB... |

Heated kit. It's the future. EXO2, highly recommended. Makes my winter riding very comfy - it's been -5 the last 3 mornings up here, but I've arrived at work nice and warm. Any idiot can be cold ![]() |

I've never understood the heated grip thing... to get any benefit, surely you must be wearing rubbish gloves? ![]() Tried some heated gloves at the NEC yesterday, now those I do understand. ![]() |

They are good in spring and autumn when still wearing summer gloves and the temp suddenly drops ![]() |
