The petrol filler cap on my 1125R is very stiff and a broken key waiting to happen.

I've tried lubricants, PTFE spray etc and it really doesn't help.

So before I end up stranded, does anyone know of anybody who makes replacement filler caps. Pretty much all of my bikes have had race style twist caps (Harris mainly) that don't lock so I have no issue with that.

Anyone?

You have to lock it ie. cap is secured by turning the key.

IME it's not the key mech that's tight, it's actually the locking lugs as they engage on the tank.

So what is the best solution to make sure you don't break the key in the lock? I try to make sure I push the fuel cap down when locking it to make the key turn easier, but I'm also wary of the possibly key breaking...??
