There's no fuel tap, it's fuel injected (I fell for that one as well :oooops:) The belt is supposed to last a "lifetime" (the debate continues on what that actually means  )

no fuel tap, service interval 5000miles/every year (most on here do twice as often though) belt replacement just before it breaks ;) also always worth keeping an eye on all vehicles on a weekly basis just to keep tab on what has fallen off :!:

where are you in sussex? I am 20mins from rye if you want to meet up ..whichway?

The owners manuals are available online on the US website - not sure what you have to do to register.

This is the link to the '06 X model as an example - never needed to chase the info as I have the original manual.

On the US Buell site, you will need to use the VIN to resister you as a Buell owner, then you have access to the manual. It's a pretty handy little manual, but there are some issues not covered in the service interval charts that most here on UKBEG seem to agree need sorting out. Wheel bearings come to mind, for example. Not much real mention in the manual of checking them, never mind replacing them.

Consider getting a Free spirits belt tensioner, inspect the belt close whilst you have some warrenty.
An out put shaft oiler,
and consider undoing the spindles and retighten to the manual your self to be shore they have not over done them cos that will knacker them in no time.

Apart from that enjoy the grunt and handling, for that I sure do miss my xb!
