HI Guys
The headers on my 1125 are a dull 'brownish' colour, I would like to clean them up a bit (sad I Know)! But need to know if they are stainless / coated etc etc? / Can they be polished without too much heart ache? I beleive the main 'standard' lower is mild steel? again looking for the best paint / process to protect?
Cheers Macca

Wonder wheels alloy wheel cleaner or Optiglanz (from Heine Gerike) both bring up the headers well. Brush on with care (cover cases with rags) and rinse off. They are acidic so watch where you apply it. A going over after with Auto sol and you've cracked it. 1125s are a bit fiddly with the geometry mind.

I use a brillo pad and some metal polish like autosol but I don't spend much time on them maybe once a year if if that as they do go brown again.

Brick cleaner/acid is a good alternative to alloy wheel cleaner but does need diluting before use.
