 apparently, upon 20k they then go for a holiday, and reappear with few more miles on them with no one the wiser!

'00 model M2, 53k from new. Defects: Gearbox (belt too tight), 2 shocks (both recalls), 3 or 4 front engine mounts, virtually everything that can be found at the end of an electrical lead. Plus some electrical leads. There was the odd bearing and isolator but that's "normal" wear, so they say  Bike just seems to get better and better. I'd be seriously disappointed not to get another 53k out of it. Collecting spares though to help contain any disappointment, and I may eventually need to move to the Manchester area

57 xb12ss, 5700 miles. Has been virtually faultless. Huge fun, reliable, economical, brilliant handling.
