But if you put your hand near the joint, you would feel it...

In garage, TPS wire done, just wondering whether to fold a small peice of tin foil and tape it under the airbox base to shield the sensor? Worth a try?

Actually thinking about it tin near electric wires mmmm not so good, I'll leave it

this might sound silly but surely rather than chasing tails and clutching at straws changing things and tryin agian would it not seem totally logical to take the time fit the standard exhaust and let the dealer bang thier head against the wall :headbang: as it has warrenty

maybe even after changed back the bike may be fine then u know its not the bike its either the parts fitted or the bike......ive been reading this thread and its how many pages long surely the time could be used puttin the exhaust on

dont take this the wrong way it just seems totally ilogical

I agree totally. Thing is have you tried changing headers?

I've really left changing exhaust as a last resort, and I'm 99.9% there now. There very little I can now do. Thought by posting on here we may crack it but if I do it's probably pure luck. Tonight I've done a TPS Hard Reset, hit a snag but now fixed that and put her all back together. The bike is worse!!!! Probably need to take it for a ride hoping it will settle but doubt it. I've caught it on camera tonight and it's just uploading for you who have nothing better to do than to view it.

Have you done a normal TPS reset to tell the ECM where the closed butterfly position is?

Yes

Recap:

1. Run/Stop button set to Run.
2. Ignition key On but do not crank or start the engine.
3. Open the throttle fully to the stop and hold it there for one second.
4. Close the throttle fully to the stop and hold it there for one second.
5. Repeat the throttle open/close procedure a total of three times in succession. but how fast??
6. Turn the ignition key to Off/On/Off/On/Off in succession to complete the procedure. but how fast??

Yeah but how much would insurance company give me £100?

I hope to ride it tomorrow AM, give it a good run and see what happens. If it doesn't settle down then thats it exhausts/Powerizer/Pipercross are all coming off. I doubt with original exhaust it will be much better!

Yes, it was ok for the first 800 miles stock.
It was ok a further 400 miles with just the exhaust, just flat mid range.
Problem occurred 2nd ride after full service when my front header pipe popped out. Ran rough after that but gradually got better with rides on and off but pays me a visit on regular intervals.

I may have two problem going on here

1. Poor tickover, it's not always like that you know!
2. Intermittent poor running after some short stops.

Did anyone notice the video showed poor tickover then it konged out, no engine management light - why? I've never had an engine management light on, ever despite these problems! You can imagine how rough this bike rides when it's like this!

Thats my next step, I now have the cable, ECMspy installed but not yet connected to bike. Hope to do that tomorrow for ya!

I am staggered that I seem to be the only one with this problem amongst some very experienced Buellers! but there again most don't have the 09 model :headbang:

First thing. If you want to know how/if you have blowing headers get someone to hold a rag/rags over the can outlets, rev engine and listen for blowing at the gaskets. You will soon hear it if there are any. It should not make any diff even if it has. You can run an engine with no can at all and it is only there to stop noise. Scavaging and other can design things are for efficiency etc.

Second thing. My bike, ok its an 06 but much the same, once did exactly what yours has just done. It happend because I did not do the TPS reset right, it was my first time, and after I did it again it was fine.
