The first thing is that the problem with a none Bolt Buell is the lack of a headlight focus system. I dont know the system on a GS so cant go there. I can say this much though. I know HID lighting systems and have worked with them for many years in industry.

Ive just done the connection mod. Easy to do. No fuses blown. And fitted some of these super duper halford special bulbs, that didnt actually look any different. :roll:

I dont know about the Halford ones. The PIAA ones are rated at twice the output of a normal lamp. 110w over 55w, 4000K (close to daylight) and legal in the UK /EU. Also know to be the best lamps you can buy. £40 a H7 pair.

You cant switch in/out HIDs a lot short term as it fucks the ballast/lamp quick and if either goes it will be hard to change on the road. The XB cuts the light system off on starting so that will not help the life of a HID system. It is not legal on a XB in any form if you care less.

If you want to use HID use it on dip, do the twin beam mod and use a PIAA for the high beam. Better still. Fit twin H3 PIAA spots as well. Works a treat.
