Many thanks, Julian - I think we're only waiting for yours and Charlie's cheques now to complete the sponsorship total.

I'll add your £174.00 to the total before we go to Papworth Hospital on Saturday - even if we don't have your cheque to give them. We can post it on next week.

Jane will call at our local PO Box collection office today, tomorrow and early on Saturday morning, before we set off for Black Bear.

Erik Buell has very kindly agreed to sign one of the limited edition Buell/UKBEG T-shirts that were produced for the 2009 UKBEG Buell Challenge.

When the shirt arrives back from the USA we will auction it on this web site for Em's Charity, the Papworth Hospital Cystic Fibrosis Unit.

Erik pictured with the shirt* that we sent to East Troy:

* The shirt is a large size.

Two weeks ago we received a cheque for £452 from X1 owner, Simon.

Together with his friends, Calvin (T595) and Derek (VFR800), Simon completed the UKBEG Buell Challenge over the May Day bank holiday using the Land's End to John O'Groats route. They were heading north as the rest of us were heading south :? ....

To cut a long story short, I didn't realise that another 3 riders had taken part in the Challenge. It was a complete surprise when Simon's cheque and sponsorship forms arrived. Simon had been away on business in June so he didn't have a chance to post a message or collect his money in time for the presentation at Papworth Hospital.

Calvin's cheque and sponsorship forms are still to arrive.

One of Derek's daughters has suffered from Leukaemia so he decided that he would raise money for that worthy cause.

Once Calvin's paperwork has arrived we can send the rest of the funds raised by Em's Day etc. to Papworth Hospital.

As of today the total raised by UKBEG in 2009 for Em's Charity is £8,337.42 :P...

     Did wonder what happened to the people who initially showed interest in going the oposite way to us but having not heard anything just prior to the event thought they'd changed their minds.
Hope we didn't ignore them if they were about at preston on the Saturday night :oooops:

Kev - Simon and his friends arrived at Preston HD/Buell at 3.00 pm on the Saturday. They were heading north again long before any of the JOG to LE group arrived.

We received Calvin's cheque for £205 this week - which has helped to take the total raised by UKBEG in 2009 for Em's Charity to £8,891.14 :P ...
