Thanks for that Maz - I just wanted to know as I had your words ringing in my ears when my first Firebolt was written off - with great trepidation I peeled the puck off to find the frame OK underneath - I still cannot understand to this day why they wrote the bike off - I reckon that £500 would have replaced the parts required - but then again the "engineer" that inspected the bike had never seen one before and didn't have a clue !

Insurance engineers only ever visit me for tuber claims now.

I used to spend half a day prepping quotes for XB accident damage claims but every time I called the insurers to submit them I got the same old .... ''Oh, it's a Buell XB series.....any frame damage ?''......me ''yes''.......them '' Ah, right then, that'll be a write off and we wont need an engineers inspection''
I never waste my time putting a quote together anymore if there's frame damage, I just call the Co. and tell them lOl .

Then you can let me know if it's really worth me doing it as well, I'm waiting for warmer weather as it's too cold in the garage at the moment - there's no way I could get a bike in my kitchen ...

So are frame pucks considered to be a part or an accessory ?

So it looks like they will go well on my 2010 CR as the frame is black - they will "disappear" - not so sure about putting them on the blue frame of my 2008 though - I wonder if they can be painted ? Although they would probably still look crap ...
