Welding a brace in is definitely the best option....but dont forget, unless you're prepared to get the entire frame powder coated afterwards, it'll look like dogshit

Andy (Spondon 440) could make the bolt on braces in his sleep but he'll need a sample and no way am I gonna take the Banke of my S1W

Thats understandable fella, so how do I get the measurements to Andy. Could he do it by using a picture and having the bike in front of him. :?:

Hes going to need one to measure to be sure.

I would have one if they weren't Banke prices as I don't want to take the S1 apart and get the frame powdercoated afterwards.

Maybe making a pattern from MDF to get the fit right and then copy in Billet?

I know the Banke one probably works fine, but to my mind, it shouldn't have the right angle bracket on the front, and could be made much more elegant with a bit of tube bolted on :|

The West-Tek one shown in the badweb post is what ASB used to carry, but Wast-Tek seems to be no more. A pity - it's a nice design.

Spondon has agreed to have a go at designing one for me along the lines of the West Tek one but a lot better looking and a much more sensible price than the banke one.
If anyone is interested in one, Pash, Daywalker give spondon a PM. Will post a piccy of mine once its done :yup: .
