Hi Alastair,
great to meet you the other month; how is the car, did you get that part.

Allan

Hi Alistair,

will be sorry to see you leave the forum and hang up your bike gear :(

The times we have met have always been a pleasure, as has, when working on your bikes.

I wish you and your family all the luck and best wishes in the world. :yup:

Jon

ps.....I'm sure you will be back on two wheels later on in life when the time is right ;)

Raiderfan,

Rest assured your legacy lives on with every mile :worthy:

I will admit, after losing my STT to thieving scum, I was losing faith of finding honest, decent people in this world, but you restored my lost faith on Sunday. The bike is as good as you had described (trying to soften the blow here; read: much, much better) and I can attest to your love of buells through it's condition.

I'm sure you'll check in every now and again (you're reading this now), so I'll be sure to keep an update on your XB12's life through the forum.

Oh, and no chance that I'll make the same mistake twice. Punks have got something special coming if they try to take this work of art.

Cheers.

Steve - will keep in touch. But don't let me catch you trying to sell me any of that MoFoCo nonsense!

Jon - Brett going over your Uly-STT creation reminded me just how brilliant your workmanship is. Thank you!

Hartbeat - car is great thanks. Well, it's not: it's deeply, deeply embarrassing but Jane seems to like it. Women are weird. (Never did get that fuse-box cover, though...)

Take care one and all.

Al

Don't worry, mate. That bike has a homing instinct. If you ever lose it, it'll make its way to the best dealership in the country. In Newmarket.

And seeing the Michelin man riding off on Sunday made the parting much easier. Glad you got home safely.

Best of luck. Except in the Ashes!

Al

As one of those portly gents in tight leather... well, textiles, but anyway... good luck with it all, Al. Take a break and return when you are ready for it. And you will, at some stage, be ready again. It will happen, just don't fight it or deny it when it happens. :yup:

The Dad thing is what got me into biking. Mrs Norm was preggers when I took my test, after years of wanting to but always finding excuses, I realised that I'd probably never get another chance to give it a try.
