IMHO, Halfords (like Krapfit) only exist because they are accessible 7/7 at a retail park or high street near you. And lots of marketing. They're dear too.
S'pose they're Ok if you need a bean-tin extension for your Saxo zorst or a bottle of polish on a Sunday...but for tools? C'mon.
From someone who makes his living with 'em.

Have you used their pro range? Good prices (as often at 50% off) and value for a home mechanic. A different proposition from their Ripspeed tuning accessories.
Their toolboxes are shit too unless you buy the most expesnive ones - Machine Mart are better there

Do yourself a favour and leave draper on the shelf.
I think Halfords is made by Facom or Britool (same company anyway) just my opinion but I used to sell Facom.
For a home user either Halfords pro or Teng, both are ok but don't by cheaper than that as you'll just have to buy it all again, soon.

Snap On, is what Maz wants to say. fine if you are using the stuff every day to earn a living, but for the average guy who does his own work other brands work just as well, and are probably easier to get hold of. if i wanted Snap On i would have it

tools i have are a mix of Halfords Pro, Draper Expert, Kamasa, Bergen, and other stuff. my torque wrenches were bought in Halfords before they stared doing their own brand. i take them to work to get checked and usually ok.

talking about Snap On, anyone want a toaster

Don't think it's the tool that's the problem. It's the tool behind the tool :lol:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DxyXUQcJhNw
