Willy why not mounnt the offset rod behind the foot lever pivot then you'll have a conventional shift pattern. just a thought :idea:

It's a good question though, does anyone know why the 'conventional' pattern for gear changing has prevailed? Is there a practical reason for it?

Or mount the rod and the gearbox link behind instead of in front, fer a neater look....
