Getting caught for multiple speeding offences = poor observational skills.

Or that you are in a hurry

....AND have poor observational skills! :hehe:

There are some nice little alcoves on the M5 that would be difficult to observe and some fairly dull unmarked cars...

30 and 40 limits in villages etc are there for good reason and I get pissed off when people speed through my village. Excessive speed on Motorways is a bit silly because there's no where to hide, you just get nicked at the next exit. Otherwise, just consider speeding convictions as an additional motoring Tax lOl
In the past, I've found Plod fairly reasonable if you pass the 'Attitude Test' and your driving wasn't dangerous - a telling off and slapped wrist usually suffices 8-)

I've always found the police to not appreciate being told off and having their wrists slapped; gotta cause more trouble

Heard a tale from a bloke i know who worked in Saudi, some Brits who were working there had parked their vehicle at the side of the street and gone into a shop , while they were in there some local numbskull ran his car into their stationary motor . The gendarmes arrived and nicked the Brits, it came out later, that according to them , that if the Geebs had not parked their car there, or had not in fact been in the country even, then the bump wouldn't have happened, so they were to blame. Insurance apparently could be overlooked, because it was the will of Allah.

That's standard logic in this part of the world. My wife scraped a parked taxi whilst turning into our compound. She was sure it was her fault for not paying attention, but the police decided it was the taxi drivers fault for parking there :P

I've got a foolproof way of beating the system re: 'Points' for speeding.

If there's a sign stating 30 mph limit, do 30 or less, if there's a sign stating 40, do 40 or less.
Likewise for 50, 60 and 70.......

:yup: unless you are in the IOM
once followed a police car for several miles, in towns obey speed limits, but once out and national speed limit apply areas then 80 ,90 mph on country roads is ok :yup: was only on a CCM 650 at the time so couldn't of gone that much fast on the straights anyway
