are the X1 forks a direct replacement for the S1 set, i mean does the disc and caliper fit directly on as on the origanal S1 forks?

A correctly fitted clamp should rest on top of the bottom yoke and the showa retains its diameter at that point (same dia for around an inch under the yoke too) :idea:

so, no modification needed at all, they're a direct replacement? sorry to seem like a dullard :roll: but it's all part of learning about these machines and i want to be clear about things.
