Little update, I decided to replace the front engine mount but as Spondon 440 has retired and I didn't want to wait on a Hammer Performance part I decided to go for a cheaper option from an eBay seller billetbikebits,
Unfortunately it didn't go quite to plan, after it was fitted and I took it for a run I noticed oil dripping from the front head area on closer inspection I found the mount was so tight against the rocker cover it had pushed it out of whack allowing oil to get out,
I suppose on hindsight I should have checked the clearance beforehand, I contacted the seller but he was having none of it suggesting my engine must have moved

and he's been making them for 15 years without any problems, I had to remove about 5mm from where it was touching the rocker, the other issue was the new bolt he supplied was about 25mm too long and came into contact with the upper mount, again never had an issue

.
Then last week I noticed another drip, bugger I thought but lo and behold the front lower rocker gasket had decided it was going to join the party, luckily I have loads of spares in stock so another evening in the garage and that's sorted too .
All going well now............🤞🏻
