It has pretty much all been said, but I got mine by getting a bloke round to the office to do them, he came out because there were three of us wanting them. Find them really comfortable and much nicer fit that disposables. My two mates totally agree - and although expensive, I use them (nearly) all the time, where I never really bothered much with the disposables - and as they are to protect my hearing for the rest of my life, that's a meaningful plus for me.

I use the Max Lites which are comfortable and block out a LOT of noise. A couple of times last weekend I was riding with Alpine motorcycle plugs or no plugs. This week I have a quiet whining in my ear and I'm more than a bit worried about it. Shoei XR-1000.
