Tell me about it :(
As with most public events it's pre-book only and my ticket literally fell through the letter box as I was looking at this :?

Good news regarding York (now confusingly renamed Melbourne) Raceway...
Heard through a friend on Pistonheads that sufficient tarmac has now been laid for 1/8 mile runs to be held, and the inaugural event is this 8th/9th August.
They intend to extended it to allow 1/4 milers next year.
Great effort down to the determination of a few, and over £100K crowd funding by many

Might have a bash at that :yup: , I've been following the progress and did donate a few quid towards it plus it's only an hour and a half from here.

Even the slightest rain stops proceedings, likewise any vehicle that drops the smallest amount of oil/water will be pushed back.
Annoying when you get some Herbert in their car with the air con running on a warm day that drips on the startline or blows a radiator hose and spreads antifreeze everywhere...the worst contamination on a race track :x

Fitted a new rear tyre and fired up the Buell today, not done much else apart from removing the dip tube from the NOS bottle and inverting it, weather permitting it should be out soon 8-)
