Of possible interest to fellow petrol-heads: http://www.cadwellpark.co.uk/calendar/2 ... tival.aspx

We have advance tickets and will definitely be going.

The Vintage Sports-Car Club, under its new guise Formula Vintage, makes its annual visit to Cadwell Park for round three of the season. This event is always one of the venue's most eagerly-awaited events of the season, featuring cars from motorsport's pioneering age. Edwardian era machinery can be found alongside sports and racing cars from the inter-war years, and racers from the immediate post-war era. Many of these cars are raced without seat-belts of rollover bars, recalling a fearless age where competitors fought for the honour and glory of the sport.

Alongside the Club's historic Shuttleworth and Nuffield Trophies featuring prestigious Trophy Races for Vintage, Pre-1961 and Pre-war Sports-Cars, the day will also feature a number of the Club's other special events, including the prestigious Spero & Voiturette Trophies Race for small capacity Racing Cars, the annual Frazer Nash Race and popular Triple-M Register MG vs Austin 7 Challenge.

This event will feature plenty of retro-themed off-track attractions too, including a special display celebrating the 90th anniversary of Frazer Nash, in a real garden party setting.

We had a great day at Cadwell Park, lots of tasty machinery used in anger on the track and plenty of rare/interesting cars in the various displays.

I bet that was a great meeting Chris 8-) unfortunately it was my compulsory work weekend or we would have popped over, my free weekends could possibly be about to get even worse as i've got to pop into work for a union meeting in a few minutes as they are trying to force through shift changes for everybody that will mean half of the year working continental shifts, that include 12 hour sat night shifts and aren't prepared to pay anybody any more money :( .

Kev, we thought you might be working. The weather deteriorated around 3.00pm but it made for some interesting racing. You've got to hand it to the drivers who, despite the wet conditions, still put on a good show for the many spectators.

We don't get to many car events but this has to be one of the best - highly recommended :yup:....
