I've a feeling that when I go down the pub on Monday with orders, they're gonna freak out. So we may be down the chippie again on Friday in any case lOl

The old pub landlord was ace, nothing was too much trouble for him. He still comes out for a Sunday spin on his brand new Fireblade. Seems like some folk don't want the trade, and then complain that times are hard.
Their excuse for only doing limited food last night was that they only had one Chef on. I did suggest that perhaps they limited the drinkers to a couple of pints each, unless the bar staff got overwhelmed  lOl

Nowt, it's just got a new Landlord  (with a less attractive wife lOl )

.......or do you mean the pub at the other end of the village? If so, there's a new Landlord there too and I got a similar 'Oooh, we get very busy on a Friday' story there as well  I'll give them a try, if pub No.1 freaks out on Monday.
If it all goes tits up, then there's an absolutely excellent Indian Takeaway in the next village down. Their food is superb (they do chips as well lOl ) and I'm sure they could get their Tuk Tuk down the track lOl
