Another update .... the tickets arrived this morning so I've posted them out via first class recorded delivery at lunchtime, you should receive them within the next couple of days.

Mike - yes, there is an offer of discounted weekend tickets. I think they're £70 instead of the normal £85 but I will post firm details in the next few days.

Jane and I won't be going to the Moto GP event but we're willing to handle the bookings etc. as a service to UKBEG members.

We have to buy a minimum of 10 tickets to qualify for the discount but knowing that where they can park their motorcycle is important for some members I contacted Silverstone a few weeks before we went to Normandy and they replied while we were away:


Sorry for the delay in coming back to you on this, unfortunately we cannot guarantee centre parking for this event, we will try to get as many clubs in the centre as possible but unfortunately it is decided by the number of bookings taken and the space we are allocated by Dorna.


I'm not sure we could achieve the minimum of 10 tickets for Moto GP without the guarantee of centre parking. I'd welcome some feedback from UKBEG members before I proceed with this.

FYI - we're going to Silverstone BSB over the weekend of 3rd to 5th October and we have accommodation booked. Centre parking is OK for this event and we'll have a UKBEG stand there if we can achieve the minimum of 10 tickets. I will put the notice up for BSB in late July or early August.

I'm not sitting next to that Bruno, French git, he might want to share his lunch.
