A bit grumpy after a wet ride is a major chuffin understatement
Left my shop at 11.45 this morning and enjoyed a dry ride until I got to Stoke where the heavens opened big time, so pulled into Stafford services to don my wet gear and have a fag break.
The 109 mile to the NMM took me an hour and 3/4 including another stop for fuel
Was all worth it when my 2 favourite peeps were there to meet me

and then found Steve, Kev and Willy in the cafe

......good to finally meet Nige and hook up with Dunno and Albert again.
The ride home was a total nightmare and took over 3 hours

.......one fuel stop and several fag breaks because I've never been so cold and wet.....Belstaffs finest waterproof suit, isn't......although I'm sure even a deep sea diving suit would've leaked being preasure washed for 109 miles

Visibility was down to zero (not helped by my ancient lid and wearing glasses

) and even the cars were crawling, reckon my average speed on the motorways was around 40 mph
So, this morning I set out on basically a brand new CR with 840 miles on the clock and when I got back to the shop tonight, she looked very sad and about 10 years old but has finally turned over 1K on the clock
Upon reflection, I should've stayed at home and watched my beloved F1.......but I hate to let Jane and Chris down
