Team Yorkshires Party Weekend was 'awesome' - OK, the weather could have been better but we enjoyed it nonetheless. It got off to a great start at the Motostrada (Shipley) open day first thing on Saturday, lots of tasty Italian machinery on display including a rare very low mileage Ducati MH900 @ £14,995

...
Over to Mablethorpe on Saturday afternoon for their motorcycle festival, which was badly affected by the rain. I felt for the organisers who'd put so much work into it but I guess with any event like this you're in the hands of the gods. The stunt show was worth watching and if it wasn't for them it wouldn't have been much of an event. Met up with Kev and his girlfriend Ronnie (spelling?), bought them a coffee and thawed out in a steamed up cafe. Muffin was loud and proud, if a little dirty.
Saturday night was spent partying (with a little 'p'

) by the seaside. The live band
Decor were excellent, their lead guitarist in particular was very good. They were on stage for 2.5 hours in total, playing all sorts of classic rock songs. Well worth the £2.50 admission fee.
Sunday and the weather on the coast was a lot better, cold, dry and perfect for the sand races. As usual there was a good selection of machinery and some great action. Met up again with Kev and Ronnie around noon and spent an hour or so with them. The drive back home was interesting, partially flooded roads, several downpours, fog and sleety snow made us glad we were in the car -
again. I expect Spring will arrive eventually, hopefully in time for Easter.
Pictures to follow when I've overcome a problem with my camera and Photobucket interface connection thingamabob....
