Well..almost.

Just traided in my old bike and bought a 2009 Buell 1125r on a 10 plate with a thousand miles on it. Still under warranty.
Nervous and excited at what I have just done.
Pay off the rest before the end of the month and then off I go.

Well I figure I've never owned a sports bike before so I figure a) why not go with something that looks just that little bit different and b) something noisy enough to set up the idiot neighbour's over sensitive car alarm ... LOL!

Deed has been done. :D

Bought it this afternoon and it's all mine now for real. :sun:

Still a little nervous on it and getting a feel for things yet so going a little pedestrian presently but when my confidence builds I'm sure my riding will become a little more fluid and natural. :|

I thought the motorway would help me get a little speed up but alas no. It was chock-a-block as the rubber necking motorists all wanted to slow down and oggle a couple of crashed cars on the hard shoulder of the M32. Nothing holding up the traffic, just annoying car drivers. Result was 15mph average on what should have been the first bit of decent riding. :headbang:

Oh well. Will try again tomorrow :-)

Take it easy to start with and don't worry about any perceived snatchy running. Once you get the chance to open it up you'll get the point :yup: As probably stated before they do get better with more miles.

Do they or do we learn to handle them better?

Not sure about learn, but it certainly pays dividends to set the suspension up properly - use the handbook and set things up for your all up weight, it is a good starting point, then you can tweak things accordingly for your own style.
