Hi All,

Ever since a Buell XB pulled up alongside my Cerbera at the lights - where he blipped the throttle, I thought I've gotta have one!

Currently looking for a second hand XB9 - thought I would go entry, let me know if any of you have something special you want to pass on - cash waiting ;)

CoupIe of questions:
what's a few things to look out for when buying, I've spoken to a few people about the bikes, something came up about the rear cylinder suffers from heat badly. Is there a fix?
I would mine one that's been "jacked" slightly at the rear, is this a big no-no?

Do you guys go up to the ACE cafe at times, where do you meet up, or is it the usual abuse each other on the forums?

looking forward to ownership

Cheers
Dean

'...or is it the usual abuse each other on the forums?' - No, there are plenty of opportunities for abuse in person! Keep looking around this site and you will answer most of your questions yourself. :)

Welcome matey - yes, you have to have one. We all know that feeling.

As a guide, jacking up is definitely a no-no, but then again, so is mentioning you have a Cerbera in your first post :P

Hi Cerbera, welcome.

We met up at the Ace earlier in the year, on the way to Hendon.

Ride out etc are in the Events & Rides section, although theres not much left for this year.

Can't comment much on the heat issue, except that I've got an XB9SX and the seat does warm up nicely after a while.
But it's never caused me a problem!

Cheers

John

I'm impressed that you could hear a Buell over your cars engine. Always liked TVR's it's the Buell of the car world.

There are one or 2 meets a year at the ace. Or just arrange to meet up with other Buell owners in the area.

The 9s is a good bike got rid of mine the other month regretting it everyday now. Once I've had my operation I'll hopefully get another.
Bought a brand new tuono to use instead but when it came to the weekend the Buell came out.

:yt: 8-)

Didn't 'Eyeball' Mickey (no longer of this Parish) use TVR cans on the Buell systems he built?

Likewise, some would call the Buell the Cerbera of the bike world! lOl

The rear cylinder of the Buell XB has a temperature controlled fan so is not a problem......until the fan stops working that is! lOl
