Post subject: | Hello |
Hi Just bought a XB12XT, I'm here to pick up tips on how to look after it myself. I've got quite few bikes, and I hope this forum is as useful as the CCM one ![]() I have been trained in the art of using the search so won't be asking the oil, tyre, exhaust ......... questions, although I'll probably ask other stupid ones! When I first rode the Buell I thought is was truely horrible, did a little bit of fetlin and now its great - not to mention a bargain. Steve |

Eric Its a 2009 with 8000 miles on it. Its got a Free Spirit tensioner, Touratech auxilliary lights, Adjustable Gear lever, Sebring Exhaust, PP Screen extender, Crash Bungs, K&N Air Filter, some kind of fuel enrichment mod, handguard extenders, mud flap, 2010 air scoop and probably some other things I've forgotten! The thing that transformed it for me was a tweek of the suspension, and adjusted the gear shift so I could get enough leverage to change smoothly. Steve |

hi madasabicycle, another CCM'er here: i traded my 710 R30 for an XB12X earlier in the year. 2 bikes are actually pretty similar - but i much prefer the extra grunt that the XB delivers, and a few extra inches of seat are much kinder on the backside. welcome, you will find just as much useful info here as the CCM forum ant |
