Wow Ruth, good for you :yup: Would you know any of the Hunt family from Staffordshire?
I use to do field off and on mostly AFB or HT. Just have a shoot in a barn when I get the urge now. I have a little Martin compound with pins and release aid but somehow keep going back to my recurve.

What ya shooting then?

Nate.

Yes I know the Hunt Family, Tony and his brother Trev and their Mum Elaine, Tony's son Josh they used to be members of Clayton Woodsmen, there has been changes recently and Tony has moved clubs! Nice bunch :) I don't think Trev does much shooting these days, Elaine does a few, but Tony's still out there most weekends. He had a heart attack about 18 months ago, but he's doing great now!
I used to shoot Martin's I had the Bengal then the cheetah! Now I shoot a Bowtech 82nd, it's fast!!!!!!! I like it :) I can get 300fps off my fingers with ace's Although I'm looking at changing my arrows to the new Cartels, they're about £12 a shaft cheaper, I pay £25 a shaft for my ace's, they last me about a year though but it's still expensive! I'm hoping to get to Australia next year for the World Championships.
You should try and get back into it, did you shoot some open shoots then... How long ago?? I might even know you lol

Thats them Ruth :yup: Elain is a champ in womans longbow I think?? Trev runs the club now it's AFAC. Tony moved to Lyme valley archers to stay in NFAC (is that correct  )
I use to go opens with Tony years ago now, Josh was just starting etc.

Been a long time now for me and I ain't really a club type, the politics blah blah.

Your bow is quick off fingers

I hope you reach your goals, tis a worthy sport.

Nate.
