Welcome ! 8-)

As to whether an R or CR - what sort of riding do you do ?

An R is more suitable for fast, long distance "touring", or using on track ;) it's not so good around town - this is where the CR is much better as it has a more "commuter friendly" riding position ( if fitted with the upright bar kit ) and slightly shorter gearing makes it easier to use in traffic, but it will still cruise all day at 70 mph comfortably. ;)

Oh, and in case you were wondering, I own both !
