To start with, consider your owner's manual as your bible (no, not a religion thread again!!!!!!!!
). If you don't yet have one, you can register as an owner with your VIN number on the Buell US web site, and view the manual for your year and model. Follow it carefully as to running in period. Do not trust that all has been set up properly for you at the dealer (with a couple of notable exceptions). The battery may not be fully charged (even/especially when new); the fluids may not be to the correct level; odd bits may be loose, or ready to come loose. Read the book carefully: such things as startup procedure are simple to follow, but also important to do so. For example, throttle on at start-up leaves you much more likely to foul your plugs. Simple to avoid, if you follow the book. Get the bike run in properly, then you will have a much better feel for the bike, and what you want/what you need to do to it.
