Hi all,

First post here...!! Just thought I'd say hello and tell you that I have an 2008 59reg 1125r and loving it...!!

There was some discussion about engine management lights and cutting out etc..

Well mine used to cut out when I first had it, particularly slowing down at junctions and round-abouts. This seemed to sort it self out after about 1000miles..!!??

I have just had an ECU re-Map at the dealers and it has improved the low engine speed smoothness of the bike and strangly changed the sounds of the airbox/exhaust, not should which...!!?? However, since the ECU up-date the engine management light now comes on and stays on when starting off, for about 1/2 a mile. I have also noted that the AT temp changes vastly, depending on engine temp, can go from 2deg actual outdoor temp to over 20deg when running particularly if in heavy traffic...!!?? Guess the sensor is not well placed??

Anyway, still loving the bike and now on my second rear tire after 3,700 miles, is this about right?

Cheers guys, hope some of my comments are helpful?

Rich ;)

The motors are very tight and take a while to loosen up - they get much better as they do 8-)
Tyre wear is about normal for running in, wait 'til you start giving it proper throttle grief lOl
