Hello from darkest Shropshire where anything less than 6 fingers per hand is considered freaky. I've had bikes off and on for over 40 years ranging from Velocette singles to Japanese UJM plastic rockets but non have been as much fun as my X1 Lightning. I bought it new in 2001 as one of the last few made in preference to an XB and haven't once regretted it since. Its white with a blue stoved frame and polished PM wheels. Before it came out of the shop i ditched the squirel's nest airbox for a neater carbon set up with matching carbon tank trims. It still makes me look back every time i park it or leave the garage, not bad after nearly 10 years of ownership. :old:

Cheers fellas, the photo was taken last year so its fairly up to date, the bikes only done 10k but it's seen plenty of rain. It has to rain in Ballamoney so that you have a good excuse to spend all day in Joey's. :D

Thanks, i like to keep my tackle tidy and not having to use it as everyday transport makes it easier to keep it mint. It had blue wheels to match the frame when i saw it in the showroom but i managed to get a no cost swap for the PM's and a good deal on the other bits cos i bought it in the winter. I live in Market Drayton not too far from the Stormy Petrel meet.
