Hi turbobusa
1 free spirits tensioner
2 change your wheel bearings every 5k
3 K&N airfilter
4 breather mod (DIY cheap an easy)
5 a decent exhaust can

change your gearbox oil every time you change the engine oil & filter

 Buell stops your spanners rusting

Hi all
Cheers for greetings and thanks for info. When you get 10 mins can you list where to get tensioner etc from pleeze
Let me know when youre travelling to nw200 as there should be a few of us going. Always good intensions but there is always something to knacker things up, but i will be going 1 way or another for sure
Next question if people can be bothered
k and n and an exhaust
Does this upset the ecu on buells as there seems to be lots of posts about this, or dare i say are they just a bit rough running anyway
cheers all

I'm just jealous guys. I need to find an XB12SS to test ride before I quit trolling and start using this forum.

Or is my 5'10' height gonna be okay for a normal XB12S?

I'm 5'10" an i was ok on an XBR , so a normal hight XBS should be ok .

A XB12s should be fine, i'v got a 12Ss and i'm just over 6'1" and the flats of my feet just touch the floor comfortably, but i guess it depends on how long your legs are so try one if you can as they seem to be wide on the seat.

cheers for all info
Im 6 2" and tried the scg which felt to small for me. height fine but bars too close
Got on the 12ss and it was almost made to measure
Now a question for you buell boffins, what engine is in the 1200 ss, before anyone says ,,,yes i know its a hd motor but which one
Anyone else fancy the nw 200 road races. It is a good laugh even if you went on your own and the racing is brilliant. I dont even watch road racing but this is so different and unreall how its on closed roads and they all start together , not timed intervalls
All people who have been will know but a lot of iom regulars now only go to the nw200. There is a down side as its normally pissing down all weekend, but hey just like england really and you apparently get a perfect guiness but im not keen on it so cannot compare really
What other good trips do you do around the midlands
Next question in my book ha ha Its for a friend who will join soon no doubt
Buell 1200 2008 When cold runs like a piece of crap and a bugger to get going. Have not seen or heard the bike but he is no nerd and is quite mechanically capable. When hot its fine. Its only done 800 miles and has been outside. Wiring earths and connectors all cleaned up so over to you lot
cheers
