Have just taken Mr. Buell's advice and got myself down to my nearest dealership and ordered myself a 1125r... what have I done? The test ride left me with numb fingers and slightly soiled underpants but I loved it! Went for the 2008 version in black because I liked the blue frame.

They gave me a good deal on my (less than perfect) Bandit 12 too. So here I am, glad to have joined the forum! Anyone else from the Yorkshire area?

I pick it up 16th Nov all being well.. the wait is killing me already

The test ride was something else.. point-squirt-oh-my-god-ha ha ha!-feel-a-bit-sick-brake-accelerate. Still not sure I've made the right decision. More used to a smooth 4-cyl.

Another thing... my mates think it's an ugly bike but all I see is a thing of beauty... is this normal?

funny that. I went to the shop to see an xb12 in the flesh as I'd never seen one. took mate along for the run. he summed it up in one sentence{he's not a bike man} his exact words were f### thats so ugly its beutifull, and went on to say I really like that alot. comming from a guy who has never even looked at a bike cant be bad I thought
