Suppose I should re-introduce myself.
Live in Luxembourg, ride an XB9SX and Brutale 910R. Also have a dry miles only XB12X somewhere. Some on here may already know me. 🌧

Welcome (back). Nice stable. Why dry miles only XB12X? Are you just lucky?
Buell owners should be committed (but not for life)

Just look at his screen name and ask yourself if there may be any irony involved, Del

Welcome back, Ronald

Re: Newbie - Sort of.....
Thanks for the welcome backs. Been reading through some of the posts and so happy to see some things never change
So for the story managed to pick up a one owner 06 XB9SX with just 6200 kms on it. Came in from Italy and had a full service with TPS reset and all work needed to get it registered here (similar to German TUV) by local HD dealer, yet to find out if they did a good job, before I bought it. Bike is mostly standard except for an aftermarket exhaust (not sure of the make), I have the stock brand new in a box, a lowered seat, again original came in a box, and an aftermarket set of mirrors and number plate holder. I put on the short levers on as soon as I picked it up.
That was the good bits. The bits that need work are the airbox is cracked at the front where the screws are, not sure I like the tail so may source an original, same with the mirrors. Probably need a new speed sensor as tge speedo has dropped off once, need to check the wiring connectors before had. And finally will need to get the cable and app to do a TPS reset again as did the white wire mod.
In all quite happy, it is well suited to the roads we have round here. And no it does not have a free whatever tensioner nor any additional nipples anywhere.

You'll regret that, Rain God, you mark my words,
