On the motorway the Uly punted up to 80-90mph with no fuss. Maybe I felt the wind catch the front a little, but all big trail bikes seem to do this
The front screen pops off easily enough, and removing it reduces the issue you've spotted.

I wasn't quite as happy with the brakes; I don't know if this is because of the rim-mount, or something as simple as the span-lever, but they felt grabby.
Could be just getting used to them, as the rim disc is very different. Have another try.

And without the service costs of a GS, or the reliability glitches of anything italian.

Hmm... good luck with that.

Welcome Ray. I'm a Uly rider and fell in lust with the Dorsoduro when the first press shots came out. And it is an absolute scream to ride. That 750 engine is sweet, and it handles so easily. I love it.

But I wouldn't buy one as an alternative to a Uly if you're after a multi-purpose bike. The slog? The trip to Spain? The two-up? The Uly will trounce the Dorsoduro on each of those (in fact, two-up it'll trounce pretty much anything).

Good luck bike hunting. Give Steve a call at Black Bear...

Al

It will be at least a month before I can pull the trigger on a Uly anyway.

Most people wait until they've owned them for a while before wanting to shoot them but, hey, it's your cash.
