Hello from over the Severn Bridge. As my main mile muncher, I'm on my 2nd BMW K1200S , a superb Sports Tourer, but for my other fun bike, I've always liked something a little different. Over the years it's been a V Rod, Aprilia Tuono, and just recently a Benelli TnT 1130 , an insanely good ride, but broken down most of the time. I saw a Buell 1125 R on a 2010 plate (2008 build) at Riders Cardiff last week, and took it out, very impressed, the grunt of the Aprilia ( both use the Rotax lump) with the focus of the Benelli. Riders were *very* optimistic on the pricing, so I've sourced one through Autotrader, may have been a member here, a Red 09 with a GRP can and a cream coloured soft quilted seat.... ![]() Collecting it on Monday 20th coming. I've done 2 track days at Cadwell in Lincolnshire on the Tuono & TnT , but both bikes faded a bit on the long back straight , more to do with the sitting up stance, getting too buffeted, I think this 1125 R should do the job! I'm very excited about getting this, should turn a few heads at the coffee stop in the Beacons and Abergavenny Bus Station ! BTW, where can I get a stock black seat , just in case I find the soft cream one a bit....unmasculine ! Cheers, Neil ( An Englishman in Wales) |

Seats are common with 1125R, 1125CR and XB9R. The XB12R is also the same but the cover is perforated. Check the price new before buying one on eBay... Welcome BTW |

Looking forward to seeing you in Abergavenny one day. Had my Buell since April, a rare sight at the bus station cafe. |

Thanks for the welcome chaps! I'll certainly be hooning it around the Beacons and Aber , must try to meet up with you other local Buellists! I'm hoping to take the scenic route home on Monday, get off at Monmouth, then do Abergavenny, Crickhowell, Brecon , some nice twisties, weather dependant. Can't do Bristol today, have done the Italian Bike Day twice , on the Tuono and Nellie. First job when I get home is probably take off the rear foot pegs, and the previous owner has put some unusual graphics on the 2 air scoops, see if they can be removed easily. Cheers, Neil. |
