Hi folks,just a quick hello.

I currently dragrace a stretched 58 1125r.
bought it back in august and ordered TM's stage one kit straight away. Got a few road miles in,but then attacked it in order to run her on the drag strip.
Removed the standard arm and replaced it with a previously extended blade arm and wheel. I just made a new front mounting to match the buell pivot. It's not the prettiest arm, but it'll do as a pattern to make a permanent tidy one over the winter.
I butchered a front pulley and welded a 16 tooth sprocket blank in place, chain drive sorted. about 70 dragstrip miles later its all still in place.

best time to date 9.95 @ 132. a long way from little but quick Joe's 9.0 but I'm definitely not little.

Season's all done now so back to the workshop.

Met an interesting UKBEG member at the race track yesterday,so it looks like I'll be trying to get my head round ecmspy asap.

If anyone ever comes across a motor I'm desperate for a spare.

I'll get some pics on the face book page

greetings Nige

Welcome mate, there are a few members here into drag racing,
I crew for a mate who runs in Outlaw Anglia and have run my M2 at rwyb with a best time so far of 12.67@106 mph which aint too bad for an air cooled motor,
if your racing in Supertwins some of the events will coincide with ours so I will look out for you next year,

It's Joe's fault I bought it! anything that can survive the amount of passes that Joe's run the last few years has gotta be worth a go.

I think I'll go for more power- I like pies :D
And no matter how much weight I lost I'm still 2ft taller than him...my leathers weigh more than he does :coat:

Yes I race in supertwins, did the last 2 rounds of topgas this year and et on my bonnie the last couple of seasons. At shakey for all the rwyb's too.

How about letting us know your race dates and we'll arrange some support... I fancy a day or two out at the Pod next year...

Will do, as soon as they are confirmed I'll post them on events.
Normally have a couple of spare racers tickets available, will save someone paying to get in.

Should be at least 8 rounds next year, 3 at santapod and 5 at shakespeare county raceway- 3 of those will be at rwyb so you could run your own bike down the strip. £35 for both days,as many runs as you can get in.

And of course any new members are always welcome in NationalAssociation of SuperTwins. 3 classes ET- dial your own et,consistency counts not the fastest, basically handicap racing. TopGas,heads up racing, petrol burning with no holds barred- slicks wheelie bars, blowers turbos custom built frames. Little but quick Joe was 2nd on his 1125r, with street tyre and no power adders. And then there is the Topfuel bikes of which there are less every year, unfortunately a very expensive class.

be nice to see some Buell support. If I can find another engine I may need some crew, got a very nice wheelie bar chassis that would look very nice with an 1125 in. Should give me another half second, without any more tuning.Probably the only way I'm going to catch Joe.But then I'll be needing to be towed back every run.

If anyone ever sees some I've been looking for buell crew shirts, only ever seen one on the net. Short sleeved smart shirts so we look like we know what we're doing in the pits. :yup:

Welcome ! 8-) :) :D

I hope your handle doesn't reflect your recent purchase ...

and if you want more info, there's also BadWeatherBikers, although you won't get as much banter though ...
