Hello,

I'm karl, 29 years and I've bought a Buell!!!

It's a x1 with damaged engine but I also got a new engine hehe!

I will try to switch the engine but it is the first time for me so I hope you can help me :?

Does anybody know if you can take the engine out of the bike by unscrewing it from the block that connects it to the swingarms?

I don't want to take apart the whole bike, just the engine so I thought if I take out the 4 big screws and the ones that connect it to the frame, I can pick up the frame and rear from the engine?

Exited!!

'Danke' as we say in germany! :yup:

Well, it would be nice if someone can tell me about the engine!
I saw in the book that you have to remove the wheel and stuff but it doesn't make sense for me.

I want to just take out the 4 screws and the other enginemountings and leave the wheel and so in...can it be doen like that?

No, although it seems logical, there is no access... check the manual GM gave you the link to. You need to lift the frame off the engine with the engine supported at the front left, where the muffler would go. Then that gives you access to remove the 4 bolts as you hang the engine from the tear rockerbox...

Thnak you Pash!

But why remove the rearwheel? Still don't understand...I've looked at the manual but I still don't get it. I will remove the frame fromm the swingarms then with the engine on a table, will let you know if it works for me!

You need as little weight on the swinging arm as possible when you remove it, plus the wheel will make it difficult to handle.

It will make sense when you try it :D

It is in! :worthy:

FInally I made the engine fit, bike rides niiiice!

Only when I cruise and sometimes I open the gas, the bike doesn't react right away.

It feels like a hikkup (you know, when you eat to fast lol) and then it goes!

What can this be?

Rides nice, I love my Buell!
